Samsung Galaxy Y, Y for young, is the latest netphone from Smart Communications. It’s a sleek and stylish Android phone which runs on Gingerbread. Its processor is faster at 832 MHz compared to Smart’s first netphone which is 600 MHz.

I’ve had my Smart Netphone for a couple of weeks and more or less I know its features and how to operate and utilize the unit.

Pricing

Smart Netphone retails for only P9,900 for Prepaid Kits. That comes with a SIM card with consumable load. Smart Netphone is also available for Postpaid. P4,800 at Plan 500, P2,800 for Plan 800, FREE for Plan 1200 and Plan 3500.

System

Smart Netphone runs on Android Froyo 2.2. There might be updates in the future. Or so I hope.

I finally have the Smart Netphone 701 many of you have talked about in social media and blogs. I used to own the Smart Amazing Phone which was pretty okay back then. Technology has leaped forward and now Smart has its Netphone which promises to be a great device for posting on a subscriber’s social media accounts.
