I went to Heima for an assignment for propinoy.net. I thought it was a gallery but turns out Heima is a furniture and lifestyle store. I like the store so I decided to write about it here. They offer modern foreign-inspired furniture and decor which I think the young and hip will love.
Heima is Icelandic for “at home” or “homeland.” Owned by Bong Rojales and Rossy Anne Yabut, they often collaborate with emerging designers to come up with new and inspiring products. Besides furniture and household decor, Heima sells lifestyle products like lomo cameras, design and photography books, vinyl records and audiophile equipment, and even restored vintage bicycles.
They recently launched Paper Club, a new product line of paper and lifestyle products, aimed at craft-oriented people. The line includes notebooks, letter sets, wall prints, note cards, and books among others.
Also recently launched is their new furniture and product line dubbed “Life is a Party” which makes use of muted colors, clean lines, and wood finishes. Various visual elements like calligraphy, scallop and chevron patterns, kraft and cool grays colors, all contributes to the overall flavor.
Heima has 2 branches, one in Cubao X and the other in LRT Building, Makati. Visit their new website at http://heimastore.com
